The Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) unveiled the AdZU Knowledge Center on October 18, 2022 at the AdZU Social Development Office, JMR Building.

This venture was realized by the collaborative efforts of AdZU and the Institute of Autonomy and Governance (IAG) in partnership with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID). It is envisioned that the new facility will play a central function in managing knowledge resources to facilitate political and social dialogues. It will be open to students and faculty alike and will serve as a resource center for term papers, theses, dissertations, and other studies.

The Ateneo Center for Leadership and Governance (ACLG) spearheaded the inauguration which was attended by faculty, staff, and key university officials. IAG Executive Director, Atty. Benedicto R. Bacani and ACLG Director Ms. Alma May O. Bulanon were also present during the event.

“This will become a hub, a meeting of minds, and the hearts of those people interested in peace and development,” Fr Rene C Tacastacas said in a speech he delivered before all the attendees.
