The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region IX initiates an on-site registration for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) at the Gallery of the Peninsula and Archipelago, Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU), Eusebio Salvador Campus. This runs daily from February 13-17, 2023, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The on-site registration caters to students, administration, faculty, and staff of AdZU. In an email sent by the Vice President for Administration Fr. Richard Ella to the AdZU community, College and Senior High School students have to present an original copy of their NSO, PSA or Local Civil Registrar Birth Certificate while administration, faculty and staff have to present their School ID upon registering.
The Philippines Identification System is in accordance with Republic Act 11055, also known as the PhilSys Act, signed into law by Former President Rodrigo Duterte, which aims to establish a single national ID for all Filipinos and residents.
